My project tackles both the build-to-destroy cycle and the affordable housing shortage specific to Las Vegas, Nevada. I selected the Westgate Resort & Casino to implement a prototype of reuse. By converting hotel into housing, casino into community, and convention into education, a typical Las Vegas hotel-casino can transform into an equitable and comprehensive residential community.
